About Midlothian, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Midlothian is a Chicago, Illinois suburb located in Cook County. As of 2010, the population of this community was nearing 15,000. Originally a foresting and farming area, development began in the 1920s. Village Hall was developed in 1949, and as of 2014 government officials still worked out of this building. Midlothian is home to two elementary schools, Springfield and Spaulding, a middle school, and Bremen High School. St. Christopher Catholic School is also available for families who would prefer their child received a private education.
The modest size of Midlothian doesn’t make it a hotspot for attractions. However, there are some interesting things to see and do here, including playing a round of golf at the Midlothian Country Club. Outdoor enthusiasts often enjoy visiting the biking and hiking trails at the Midlothian Meadows Trail, and the Midlothian Park District operates the community Splish Splash Pool and seven parks.
Other attractions are also located in nearby Chicago. As one of the largest cities in the country, Chicago is home to numerous interesting museums, including the Museum of Science and Industry and The Field Museum. There is even a museum for the little ones: the Chicago Children’s Museum. Visitors often enjoy shopping at Navy Pier, and the Adler Planetarium is an educational excursion that many schools take advantage of for field trips.
Midlothian residents will need to run both their furnace and their air conditioner throughout the year. During the winter months, bitterly cold temperatures with significant snowfall can be experienced. During these times, a heat pump or furnace is needed to prevent dangerous conditions for both people and home plumbing systems. Likewise, the summer brings hot conditions with high humidity, and there are many days that temperatures will reach the 90s. Not only can an efficient air conditioner make a home more comfortable during these months, but it can also ensure the best possible air quality for the home’s residents.
